Responsibilities
● Take photos, x-rays, and 3D scans.
● Take impressions, pour, trim, and prepare dental models.
● Create clear retainers, Essix retainers, and bleaching trays.
● Maintain quality control standards to ensure accuracy and proper fit.
● Organize and prioritize laboratory cases to meet daily production deadlines.
● Communicate with doctors and clinical team members regarding appliance design and adjustments.
● Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure a clean, organized work environment.
● Monitor inventory of laboratory materials and notify management when supplies need replenishing.
● Follow OSHA, HIPAA, infection control, and safety protocols.
Qualifications
● Previous orthodontic or dental laboratory experience preferred.
● Experience fabricating orthodontic appliances is strongly preferred.
● Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Ability to work independently while collaborating with the clinical team.
● Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.
● Positive attitude with a willingness to learn and grow.
● X-Ray certification required and must have attended a dental assisting course
Preferred Skills
● Experience working with orthodontic acrylics.
● Knowledge of thermoforming equipment.
● Familiarity with digital orthodontic workflows and 3D scanning is a plus.
● Ability to troubleshoot appliance issues and recommend solutions.
